I had so much fun creating this construction sensory bin. I had so many ideas going through my brain that I really had to stop and come down to earth and decide on just a few of my ideas. I knew the kids were going to go nuts (and bolts) over this one…from filling all the little vehicles with rocks and dirt (colored chick peas), making tire tracks in the mud (brown play dough) and cementing the bricks together! The kiddos never wanted to stop playing! I sprinkled in some fun counting cones and construction vehicle cards for added educational play.
The base filler is brow and black colored chick peas, silver spiral pasta and brown wheel pasta to look like screws and gears. I just painted the chick peas and pasta with acrylic paint- shaken in a ziplock and dried overnight. I used a bunch of items from a Black and Decker tool set that I have for decor. I also print
The rest of my items used are listed below the images. Anything not listed was purchased somewhere other than Amazon (Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby, etc). I also reuse a lot of my sensory items on various themes. Just a quick note, there are affiliate links so if you decide to make a purchase, I may get a small kickback, but it has no impact on the price you pay nor is it a deciding factor on the products I might recommend.
