I don’t know where you are, but here in Wisconsin, it’s been truly frozen for what feels like weeks. With icy mornings and frosty afternoons, January gave us plenty of winter inspiration. Since we’ve also been learning all about the seasons this month, it felt only right to embrace the chill and end January with a Frozen and winter-themed sensory day.
All month long, our sensory play took us straight into the Arctic, exploring snowy landscapes, icy textures, and all the fun of winter.
And honestly? The cold never bothered us anyway.

We’re still not entirely sure if it was the party talking 🎶 or the chocolate fondue 🍫❄️ (if you know, you know), but the excitement level was sky-high from the very start.
From dancing with magic wands and Elsa’s freeze dance fun, to playful snowball fights, Elsa’s “ice” made from silly string, finding hidden trolls in the dark, and building Play-Doh ice castles, these little snowflakes stayed busy and engaged in a little Frozen magic all day long.
To warm things up after all that chilly pretend play, the kids enjoyed a yummy Frozen-themed lunch, the perfect cozy ending to a day full of laughter, learning, and winter wonder.
Snow much fun, indeed! ❄️💙
